STEPHENSON - Glenn Hallfrisch, 96, of Stephenson, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, in Powers. Glenn was born on July 10, 1917, in Lake Township to the late John and Mary (Powers) Hallfrisch. On Feb. 19, 1944, Glenn married the former Leona Laurin in Nadeau. Leona preceded him in death in January of 2007. Glenn farmed on the family farm and later opened a car dealership selling Pontiacs. He later owned and operated Hallfrisch Service in Stephenson, retiring in March of 1986. Glenn enjoyed restoring antique cars, caring for his large yard and garden, and trips to the family camp keeping an eye on the deer population, timber condition and nature in general. Glenn was a member of the Church of the Precious Blood, charter member of the Mid County Rescue Squad, past member of the Stephenson Lions Club, and belonged to the antique car club.
Survivors include his children, Mary (Fred) Delie of Green Bay, Daniel of Stephenson, Patrick (Marcia) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michael (Pamela) of Westerville, Ohio, and Mark (Virginia) of Gladstone; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Wright, Delbert, John, Eleanor, Frances, Alice, Harriet and Doris.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, after 5 p.m. until time of Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Father Ronald Timock officiating.
