Assault charge results in 20-year sentencing

MANISTIQUE - A Manistique man was sentenced Thursday to spend up to 20 years in prison for severely beating up his friend last summer in Manistique.

Gordon Daniel Baker II, 36, was ordered to spend 10-20 years in prison on one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder relating to the Aug. 28 beating of a Manistique man.
