John M. ‘Jack’ Farrell

MARQUETTE - John M. "Jack" Farrell, 81, formerly of Danforth, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette, Mich. He was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Escanaba and was the son of Thomas and Mary (Holland) Farrell. Jack attended Escanaba schools and the enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served from Aug. 14, 1952, until he was honorably discharge with a 100 percent disability on May 14, 1954. Jack did volunteer work at the Salvation Army, he helped with the Salvation Army youth camp in the summer and the Christmas Basket deliveries at Christmastime. He enjoyed going to camp and the outdoors.
