David ‘Hubert’ Brown

ESCANABA - David "Hubert" Brown, 84, of Escanaba, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.

Hubert was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Escanaba, the son of Walter and Margaret (Papineau) Brown. In 1948 he married Merida Magnuson. He was a hard worker and was employed by the Harnischfeger Corporation, Gehringer Heating and Berger and King Inc. of Escanaba. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Union Local No. 7 and loved old country music. He was also a very good husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Hubert is survived by three sons, Larry (Debbi) Brown of Ford River, Chris Brown of Escanaba and Adam (Julia) Brown of Green Bay, Wis.; a daughter, Nancy (Dennis) Hays of Green Bay, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Merida, on Sept. 1, 1999, his parents and a brother, Lloyd Brown.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Skradski Family Funeral Home is Escanaba. Memorial services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bo Lange officiating.
