GLADSTONE - Patricia Rae "Pat" Rajala, 69, of 6398 Eastside 23.2 Drive, Gladstone, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba where she currently was residing.
Pat was born March 30, 1944, in Escanaba, the daughter of Robert and Anne (Lagina) Micheau. She was raised in Gladstone where she was a 1962 graduate of Gladstone High School.
Pat was united in marriage to John Rajala on Nov. 24, 1962, in Gladstone. They resided in many locations while John was stationed in the U.S. Navy. They returned to Rapid River in 1969 where they raised their four children. Pat worked for the Delta County Credit Union and several other banks during her banking career. In later years, she especially enjoyed working for her brother Gary at the America's Best Value Inn (formerly the Travelodge) in Escanaba until her illness prevented her from working.

Pat was a member of the All Saints Church in Gladstone and the Red Hat Society. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she enjoyed traveling to visit them.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, John, survivors include: children, Sheri (David) Timm of Green Bay, Wis., Kathy (Dean) Groleau of West Bend, Wis., Bob (Tammy) Rajala of Leesburg, Ga., Joe Rajala of Willernie, Minn.; 11 grandchildren, Aymee, Ben, Mallory, Chelsea, Abbee, Brittany, Cody, Zachary, Nick Nicole and Aaron; siblings, Barbara (Dr. Hal) Thinglum of New Lenox, Ill., Gary (Vickie) Micheau of Gladstone, Mich., Diane Micheau of Gladstone, Mich.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, an infant sister, Carol, preceded Pat in death.
Pat's family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. Luncheon will follow in the All Saints Church Parish Hall. Burial will be in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. Memorial contributions in memory of Pat may be directed to the All Saints Church Window Project.
