Local man completes Marine boot camp

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - PFC Christopher A. Lynch of Escanaba graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Calif., on Oct. 11. PFC Lynch successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive boot camp at MCRD San Diego as one of 82 recruits in Kilo Company Platoon 3231.

While in recruit training, PFC Lynch achieved expert marksmanship and fire team leader.

Following 10 days home on leave he will report to Camp Pendleton for one month at Marine Combat Training, then Military Occupational Specialty school at Fort Lee, Va.

A 2012 graduate of Escanaba High School, Lynch is the son of Keith and Susie Lynch and bother to Jack Lynch.
