Farmers market to go indoors

ESCANABA - An indoor farmers and crafts market will be held beginning next month at the Escanaba Civic Center, offering a variety of items for sale from a variety of vendors, announced Recreation Director Tom Penegor.

Sellers and buyers are sought to participate in the indoor sales which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays beginning in November, explained Penegor during the City Manager's Call session on Thursday.

Sale items will include baked goods, produce, canned goods, meats, and handcrafted items like jewelry and rugs.

Vendors interested in renting a table can call Jim at (906) 295-0293.

The sales are expected to take place every Saturday from Nov. 2 through March with the exception of Nov. 30.
