A recent Brown Bag Lunch at the Bonifas Arts Center presented by John Burroughs, pictured at right, and Dan Young, seated at left, of the Delta Astronomical Society, introduced the audience to the whys and hows of telescopes. The presentation featured a home-built telescope over eight feet tall with a 22-inch diameter mirror, as well as a selection of smaller 'scopes. A second Brown Bag session invites star-lovers to take the Planet Walk on Wednesday, Oct. 23, meeting at the Arts Center at noon. The walk will go from the Sun to Saturn, and walkers may enjoy a Dutch treat lunch at Hereford & Hops after the walk. For information, call 786-3833 or visit bonifasarts.org.
