MARQUETTE - Former Northern Michigan University offensive lineman Jace Daniels of Escanaba has been re-signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad.
Daniels was signed by the Bucs over the summer as an undrafted free agent, practiced with the team throughout the offseason and was with the team right up until the final cutdown Labor Day weekend.
Daniels was re-signed to the practice squad the next day, only to be released again a few days later.
Since leaving Tampa in early September, Daniels has been working as a volunteer assistant coach at NMU, working with the Wildcats' offensive linemen.
Daniels sent out this Tweet Tuesday night saying, "Off to Tampa #GodisGood." A source later confirmed he was not just becoming a snowbird, fleeing the dropping temperatures of the U.P.
