AAUW member, Kathleen Bennett, is pictured getting ready for the October AAUW meeting scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17. The meeting will consist of a tour of Bay College Campus at 5:30 p.m. and then a viewing of the film, "Miss Representation." This film explores how the media's misrepresentations of women has led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. The meeting will be held in Room 952C in the Heirman Building of Bay College. RSVP to Sandy Walker, (906) 399-1196, or Kathleen Bennett, 786-3415, by Tuesday, Oct. 15. AAUW promotes and advances equity for women and girls. It is open to men and women holding an associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership with no barriers to full participation on the basis of race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability.
