Gridiron ghouls: House features scary Packers vs. Lions characters

October 5, 2013
Daily Press
The home of Brett LaFave in Escanaba, along 11th Avenue North and 18th Street, is ready for Halloween and this weekend’s Packers vs. Lions football game. The yard is decorated with large scarecrows of all sorts — including Packers and Lions players, such as Aaron Rodgers and Calvin Johnson. LaFave has been designing and making scarecrows for about eight years now. Other places to view the unique creations are at Ernie’s Irish Pub, in a yard along 3rd Avenue South and 15th Street in Escanaba, and at a home along Michigan Avenue off of U.S. 2 and 41 in Gladstone.
