GLADSTONE - Patrice "Trish" D. Meyer became the wife of Robert R. Kidd during a wedding ceremony that took place on June 15 at the Kidd's family home in Flat Rock. The couple exchanged personal vows, which they wrote themselves, in front of their close friends and family. The intimate backyard ceremony was officiated by Mitch Taylor of Taylored Weddings.
The bride was escorted by her father, Kevin Gartland, and mother, Brenda Soper, while the groom was escorted by his parents, Pete and Terry Kidd.
Standing by her sister, as maid of honor, was Katelyn Gartland. The bride's youngest sister, Morgan Gartland, was the junior bridesmaid and ring bearer. Bridesmaids were: Randi Congleton, cousin of the bride; and the bride's friends, Kasey Kleikamp, Amanda Shepeck, Chelsea Clairmont, Danielle Carlson, Kailee Shea, Kelly Walch, and Jennie Belanger.

The bride's soon-to-be stepsister, Olivia Ostrander, and younger cousin, Gracelyn Wiles, served as the flower girls.
The groom's lifelong friend, Adam Hoffmann, stood as the best man. Groomsmen were Chad Walker, Jeff Hughes, Jesse DeBacker, Adam Whitney, Mick Jacques, Troy Soderman, Justin Clickner, and Jake Kobasic, all friends of the groom.
Ushering guests were the groom's childhood friends, Brady and Brad Barron.
Special guests included the bride's grandparents, Ken and Patricia Gartland, along with the bride's grandmothers, Darlene Meyer and Patricia Soper.
Trish is an Escanaba High School graduate and is employed as an estimating assistant for Industrial Maintenance Services. She also holds the roll of membership president for the Delta Animal Shelter.
A graduate of Gladstone High School, Rob earned welding certificates from Bay de Noc Community College. He works as a maintenance welder for Cliffs Natural Resources.
The couple shares their current home with their three dogs and two cats and plan to built a home in Flat Rock. They will be honeymooning this month in the mountains of Colorado.
