ESCANABA - David P. Erickson, 58, of Escanaba, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba. He was born Nov. 1, 1954, in Escanaba and was the son of Leonard and Martha (Simonson) Erickson. David graduated from Escanaba High School in 1972. In 2003 David suffered a stroke and has been a resident of Christian Park Health Care Center since that time. He was a life member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. David was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, he enjoyed attending Escanaba High School sporting events, shopping at Walmart, playing bingo and going to the casino. He also competed in bowling in the Special Olympics and enjoyed going to lunch with friends at the Salvation Army in Escanaba.
David P. Erickson is survived by: brother, Lee (Mary Anne) Erickson of Pulaski, Wis.; niece, Michelle Erickson of Suamico; many aunts uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Martha Erickson.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of David P. Erickson will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating.
A luncheon will be served following the funeral services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery. The Erickson family would like to thank the staff at Christian Park Health Care Center for all their love and support they gave to David over the past few years.
