GREEN BAY - Rudy G. Bakran, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. He was born June 12, 1925, in Wells, Mich., to the late Andro and Katherine (Grish) Bakran. Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Madelyn De Cook in 1952; they celebrated 27 years together before she passed in 1979. The couple moved to Green Bay in 1964 where Rudy worked at FMC Corp as chief engineer until his retirement. Rudy enjoyed feeding his squirrels "Sam," roller skating at St. Mary's roller rink, and gardening.
Survivors include his two sons, Ron and Mike (special friend, Lisa Goebel); two grandchildren, Tricia (Darin) and Andy; five great-grandchildren, all of Green Bay; siblings, Tom (Edith), John (Judy), Mary, Ann (Bob) Goodreau, Elizabeth (Gerald) Potvin, and Patricia Servant; and nieces and nephews.
Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn; his parents; brothers, Steven, Joseph, and Frank; and sister, Carolyn (William) Ferrari.

Family and friends may call Monday, Sept. 16, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Steve Vanden Boogard O.Praem. officiating.
