MANISTIQUE - Orville R. Collingwood, 69, of Manistique passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette. He was born Aug. 30, 1944, in Port Huron, Mich., and was the son of Robert Willington and Dorothy Collingwood.
Orville married the former Patricia Thompson on June 27, 1964, in Lower Michigan and in 1966 they moved to Manistique. Orville was employed as a commercial fisherman all of his life until his retirement in 2005.
Orville R. Collingwood is survived by: wife, Patricia; children, Stephen Collingwood of Manistique, John (Amy) Collingwood of Wells, Rebecca McCabe of Lawrence, Mich., Jennifer (Rocky) Nadeau of Manistique; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Julie of Canada and Madelyn of Arizona; brothers, Gregg, Michael and Timothy all of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Bert, great-grandchild Landon and mother-in-law, Irene Mae Bolsby.
