MARION, Wis. - Margaret Ann (Hall) Obst, 66, of Marion, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Peggie had multiple sclerosis for many years and was battling with other health issues.
She was born May 29, 1947, in Escanaba, Mich., the daughter of the late Arnold and Mildred (Larson) Ottensman. Peggie married Robert J. "Bob" Obst on Dec. 29, 2001, in Kimberly. Prior to her retirement in 2009, Peggie was the executive director of the Housing Authority for New London and Clintonville. She was a member of the NAHRO and their Ethics Committee, served on the National Board, WAHA, Honorary Life Time member (National and Wisconsin Housing Authorities), the MS Society, and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bob; two daughters: Tiffani (Rolando) Vargas, Waupaca, and Erika Hall, Marion; two stepdaughters: Jennifer (Randy) Meyer, Reedsburg, and Sandra (Kurt) Pelisek, Howards Grove; a stepson, Robert S. (Sandra) Obst, Grand Rapids, Mich.; her grandchildren: Justin, Gabriela, Adryanna, Evan, Amaya, Daniel, Christopher, Shannon, and Jessica; three sisters: Carole Luecke, Kathy (Norm) Dittrich, and Cindy (Kurt) Kickbusch; and nieces and nephews.
Peggie was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert M. Hall III; a stepson, Kenneth D. Obst; and a brother-in-law, Richard D. Luecke.
A Celebration of Peggie's Life will be Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 153 CTH QQ, Waupaca, with Rev. Dean Wheeler officiating. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
