‘Tootsie Rolls’ pay off for area programs

The Knights of Columbus Council 640 of Escanaba recently distributed funds from its annual M.I. (Tootsie Roll) Drive. Several local organizations were each presented with a check for $325.50. At right, K of C drive co-chair, James Gallagher, center, presented donations to Lourie Schuenke and Cindy Vader of U.P. Down Syndrome Association, at left, and Marie Maniaci and Kelvin Smyth of the Rotary Trust for Children With Special Needs.
