MARQUETTE - Jeanine A. Willard, 75, entered eternal life Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at her son's home while in the loving care of her son and daughter-in-law, and Lake Superior Hospice.
Jeanine was born April 29, 1938, in Niagara, the daughter of George and Adrainna (Betters) LeBeau.
Jeanine grew up in Niagara. She raised her family in Lansing, where she attended Lansing Community College, received her degree in nursing, and worked at Sparrow Hospital caring for terminally ill patients. She moved to Marquette in 1973 where she resided for the remainder of her life. Jeanine continued her work as a nurse at Marquette General Hospital caring for patients in the Medical Unit and the Hemodialysis Unit. She also taught as an associate instructor in the Nurse Assistant Program at Marquette Senior High School.

Jeanine will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and loving person. She was a wonderful mother and loved caring and helping all of her family. She extended her caring ways to help many people in need and was especially proud of being a part of the activities at St. Michael's Altar Society. Jeanine will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered by all of her family and dear friends.
Jeanine is survived by her son, Michael Willard; daughter-in-law, Krisitine Willard, both of Harvey; daughter, Lisa Willard of Lansing; sister, Teresa Sherman of Escanaba; brother, David (Angie) LeBeau of Tucson, Ariz.; also several nieces and many cousins.
Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Kenneth; brother-in-law, Dan Sherman; and a nephew, Mark Sherman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Van Damme as Celebrant. A visitation will be held at St. Michael's prior to the Mass from 9-11 a.m. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the church hall.
