Credit union awards scholarships

MENOMINEE - Menominee County Federal Credit Union has announced the following seniors were awarded one of three $500 scholarships. The recipients are: Michaela Marks, Kyle Raboin, and Miranda Baumler.

The purpose of Menominee County Federal Credit Union scholarships is to recognize and assist members in the achievement of their educational and citizenship potential.

Michaela Marks, Stephenson, graduated from Stephenson High School with a 3.96 GPA. While in high school, Michaela was involved in many activities such as FFA, Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society and 4-H. Michaela was also active in volleyball and basketball. She plans on attending Michigan State University in the fall to pursue a medical degree in psychiatry.

Kyle Raboin, Daggett, graduated from Stephenson High School with a 3.93 GPA. While in high school, Kyle was involved in many sports such as basketball, cross country, golf and track and field. Kyle was also a member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America and Student Council. Kyle plans on attending the Michigan Tech University in the fall to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Miranda Baumler, Carney, graduated from Carney-Nadeau Public School with a 3.78 GPA. While in high school, Miranda was active in National Honor Society, C Club and 4H. Miranda was also a member of the cross country and basketball team. Miranda plans on attending the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in the fall to pursue a career in pre-med.

Menominee County Federal Credit Union is a community credit union with over 89 million dollars in assets and almost 10,000 members. Menominee County Federal Credit Union has offices located in Menominee, Stephenson, Powers and Carney.
