DAGGETT - David L. Corbisier, 78, of Daggett, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay. Dave was born on Dec. 27, 1934, in Cornell, to the late Harry and Beulah (Cooper) Corbisier. On Sept. 18, 1954, Dave married Phyllis Grundstrom at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett. David worked as an iron worker for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad before moving to Orange, Calif., where he repaired heavy equipment.
Following his retirement, Dave and Phyllis bought a log home in Pinedale, Wyo., where Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with the wonderful friends he met over the 20 summers they spent there. Dave was very proud of leading a crew that hung the Flags for the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Calif.
Dave was a caring, kind-hearted man who always looked out for the betterment of others. He took great pride in mentoring young men in what it takes to be successful in life and business. A friend once said, "Dave is what every young man should aspire to be." Dave had a unique sense of humor and a strong sense of justice and fair play. Dave enjoyed hunting fishing and traveling. Most of all, it was time spent with his family and grandchildren that Dave enjoyed most.
