Above, children participating in the Escanaba Salvation Army’s Summer Day Camp, run and play a game of Capture the Flag Friday afternoon at the Salvation Army. The program began June 10 and runs Monday through Friday for youth ages 4 through 12 until Aug. 16, according to program director Alicia Mead. The children do many outdoor activities, including beach and park days when the weather permits. Approximately 100 children are enrolled in the program this year, with an average of 30 kids participating each day.
