ESCANABA - Colleen K. Mattison became the wife of Dr. Brian S. Moravec during a wedding ceremony that took place on July 13 at the Mattison Family Cottage in Amberg, Wis. on the bank of the Pike River. The touching ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mike Barden of Waupaca, the groom's childhood friend.
The bride's parents, Ken and Margaret Mattison of Amberg, and the groom's parents, Viola Kien of Eagle River, Wis., and James Moravec of Wausau, Wis., were in attendance along with other immediate family and a few close friends.
Pastor Mike Barden and his wife Monica performed the music for the service. The bride was given away by her father, Ken Mattison, and her son, Aaron McGowan of Little Chute, Wis. The bride's daughter, Brittany McGowan of Stevens Point, Wis., was the maid of honor, and the groom's brother, Jason Moravec, of San Diego, Calif., was the best man. The groom's nephew, Warren Moravec bore a sign announcing the bride.

A dinner in honor of the newlyweds was held at Newingham's Supper Club in Wausaukee, Wis., to celebrate and a small reception took place in Escanaba.
Dr. Brian Moravec is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and is the owner of Delta Chiropractic Associates of Escanaba. Colleen Moravec is a graduate of University Wisconsin - Green Bay and works with her husband as a chiropractic assistant.
The new Dr. and Mrs. Moravec reside in Escanaba.
