ESCANABA - The Waterfront Art Festival scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3, celebrates summer, the arts, and the waterfront. The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the bandshell area at Ludington Park.
Artists of all ages participate in this juried sale, which also offers music, food, and artist demonstrations. Works by artists 18 or younger may be found at the Young Artists' Market tent.
"Items range from paintings to tie-dyes, depending on the year," said Kathryn Morski, public relations person for the Bonifas Arts Center. "I found a great hat one year, and a small painting I have on my dresser 10 years later. Our young artists come to the market to learn business skills - they're already artists."
