GLADSTONE - Ruth Mary Drossart, 72, of Gladstone, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2013, at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba following a brief illness.
Ruth was born May 26, 1941, in Osier, the daughter of Homer and Helen (Frossard) Drossart. She was raised in Flat Rock and attended the Flat Rock and Holy Name schools. Ruth relocated to Green Bay, Wis., where she resided from 1961 until moving to Marquette in 1977. Ruth remained in Marquette until 1979, at which time, she moved to Gladstone where she has resided since. Ruth was employed as a bartender throughout the majority of her life. She loved meeting new friends, enjoyed spending time with her family and working on crossword puzzles. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: brothers, Homer Drossart of South St. Paul, Minn., Eugene (Georgia) Drossart of Chilton, Wis.; sister, Rose Anne Polequin of Escanaba, Mich. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Helen; brothers, Otto, Peter and Wilbert Drossart; sisters, Helen Hahn, Pat Dufour and Mary Lou King; former husband and friend, James "Bud" Leach; friend, Art Mikowski.
Ruth's family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ruth Mary Drossart will follow visiting hours at 5 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski of All Saints Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the All Saints Church Parish Hall. Ruth will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
