The irony of a Detroit News reporter, (in a lengthy front page article on June 25, 2013) describing (and demeaning) our beloved Escanaba, as a seedy, depressed, dying little town is both infuriating and mind boggling. He might better first have taken a more objective look around at his own environment (which is reputed to have become the most distressed area in the whole USA). Thus his Escanaba critique becomes proof positive of the old adage that, "People in glass houses should never throw stones." Therein also rests yet another very obvious fact, that this reporter still has much to learn about life, human nature and hidden truths. Hopefully, with "tincture of time," his thinking, reporting (and writing) will more honestly improve.
