Madeline I. Calhoun

RIB LAKE, Wis. - Madeline I. Calhoun, 95, of Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, a former Township of Rib Lake resident, died 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, where she had resided for the past four and a half years.

No services will be held.

She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Escanaba. She attended Escanaba elementary schools, was a graduate of Escanaba High School and attended one year of college in Escanaba.

She was married in Escanaba to Stanley Finlan and they were later divorced. She was married to Lloyd "Peewee" Calhoun in Chicago and he preceded her in death.

She moved from Escanaba to Chicago where she worked as a waitress. She then moved to the town of Rib Lake with her second husband and hobby farmed. She worked as a waitress and bartender for Jim Mauch's Tavern on Spirit Lake for a period of time. She enjoyed raising chickens and gardening.

Survivors include: two sons, Edward Finlan of Sedro Woolley, Wash., and Jerry (Barbara) Finlan of Wenatchee, Wash.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; Three sisters, Pearl Gerue of Escanaba, Betty (Lee) Thome of Green Bay, and Henrietta (Gaston) Charboneau of Florida

She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley, in infancy; eight siblings, Richard St. Martin, Albertine Temple, Bernadette Colantonio, Earl St. Martin, Harold St. Martin, Viola Hyer, Phyllis St. Martin & Gerald St. Martin; her parents, Richard St. Martin and Clorvena Badger
