GLADSTONE - The Gladstone High School Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispnica (Spanish Honor Society) held its new member induction ceremony recently at Ferdinand's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Escanaba.

The occasion included the induction ceremony, a Mexican nacho supreme buffet dinner, and musical entertainment by GHS Spanish IV student Asuncin "Anissa" Godfrey Whitfield who sang the Spanish song "Tu amor vino a m" ("Your Love Came to Me").

To become a member of the Spanish Honor Society, a student must have completed at least three semesters of Spanish with an honors average (3.0 or better) and have shown and proven a deep interest in the Spanish language and culture.
