Milly Stenlund, left, former Rapid River Housing Commissioner; Gail Hall, executive director, Riverside Manor; and Cindy Brock, Rapid River Housing Commissioner, took part in the May 30 tree planting reception held at the Riverside Manor. A loyal community supporter and volunteer, Stenlund was honored by the Rapid River Housing Commission for serving on the Rapid River Housing Commission from 2005 until 2011. During her tenure, she served as chairperson of the board. A flowering crab tree (a favorite of Stenlund) was planted on the grounds of Riverside Manor with approximately 25 guests in attendance. A reception featuring cake and beverages followed.
