ESCANABA - Phyllis La Violette, Home at last, my Lord Almighty Home at last. Taken Home to Heaven's eternal rest Oct. 4, 2012. Born Oct. 4, 1911, to Maude and John Judson of Escanaba. Played three instruments in high school band.

Married Albert La Violette. Bore and raised two sons, Don and Jud. Moved from Escanaba to Milwaukee in 1939.

Was very active in various organizations. She took great pride in her membership in The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for 50 years.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 602 S. 6th St., Escanaba. Inurnment Saturday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Escanaba.
