MANISTIQUE - GFWC Manistique and Big Boy/Comfort Inn Manistique will hold a Victorian Tea and Fashion Show on Sunday, June 9, at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Comfort Inn US 2 Manistique.
Pamela Yockey of Canton will present this interesting fashion show which will include designs from 1800-1920. Yockey has presented the fashion shows for 15 years.
Yockey restores and conserves gowns and has inventoried clothing collections at Plymouth Historical Museum and Greenmead Historical Park, as well as her own collection of over 400 gowns.
Pamela Yockey will present a unique historical fashion show in Manistique on Sunday. The show is sponsored by GFWC Manistique.
She has taught living history for 32 years in Taylor, Mich., is a member of the Costume Society of America, Questers, Eastern Michigan Preservation Society, Sigma Phi Kappa Preservation Honorary, and Preservation Eastern. Yockey holds a B.S. degree from Michigan State University and a M. S. in Preservation from Eastern Michigan University. Extensive travel and behind the scenes museum study tours have added to her knowledge.
Tickets for the 1 p.m. show, "Clothes America," are $15 and include tea luncheon and a fashion show of gowns modeled by local club members. Tickets for the 3:30 p.m. show are $7. Only 30 seats are available for the 3:30 event. This show-only presentation will feature "My Aunties Scanties" and will be modeled by Yockey.

Proceeds will benefit the Living Waters Memorial Fountain.
