Seventh and eighth grade girls from Escanaba Junior High School participated in a Non-Traditional Career Conference held at the Delta-Schoolcraft ISD Career-Technical Center Tuesday. According to ISD career consultant Gayle DeShambo, the goal of the conference is to expose the girls to career options that typically females do not seek. The conference included presentations from women involved in non-traditional careers from throughout the community. Students were also exposed to career-tech classes offered at the ISD.
