ESCANABA - Bernice Fehrenbach, 77, of 4200 M Road, Escanaba, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness with cancer. She was born on Aug. 14, 1935, in Janesville, Wis., and was the daughter of Chester and E. Pearl (Hennessy) Harris. Following the Depression, the Harris Family moved to Perkins, Mich. Bernice attended school in Perkins and was a member of the Graduating Class of 1953. She then moved to Escanaba where she met the love of her life. The former Bernice Harris married Donald Fehrenbach in Menominee, Mich., in 1954. Bernice was a devoted wife and mother for many years tending to the needs of her family. In the mid-1970's, she and her husband Donald started Bach Mobilities where she continued to be involved in the business until her recent illness. She as an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and gardening but what Bernice loved most in life was her family. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a nurturer to many throughout her lifetime. She and her husband Don never forgot visiting friends in the nursing homes.
