Crossman - Bassett

GLADSTONE - Shayla Crossman became the bride of Timothy Bassett on April 13 during a ceremony at the Second Reformed Church in Holland, Mich. Pastor Steve Demers presided over the wedding ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Michelle Crossman of Hudsonville and is a graduate of Davenport University with an associate's degree in medical assisting. She is employed by Spectrum Health as a clinical assistant.

The son of Chuck Bassett of Gladstone and Christal Bassett of Manistique, Timothy is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in English and elementary education. He is employed by SpringHill Camps as an area director.

Serving as maid of honor was Kayla Kramer, a friend of the bride. Best man was Troy Bassett, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Lynissa Crossman, sister of the bride, and Ashley Crossman, sister-in-law of the bride. Groomsmen were Derik Crossman and Cody Crossman, both brothers of the bride. Ushers were Derek Laird and Seth Coffman, friends of the groom.

A reception in honor of the newlyweds followed the ceremony at the Piper Restaurant on Lake Macatawa. An August honeymoon is planned.

The couple resides in Hudsonville.
