ESCANABA - Holly Jean Whitehead, 65, of Escanaba, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Pine Heaven Rest Home in Gladstone. She was born Dec. 9, 1947, in Escanaba, Mich., and was the daughter of William and Mabel (Jeffreys) Whitehead. She graduated from Escanaba High School and then lived in Lower Michigan for a few years before moving back to the Danforth area. Holly was an avid reader, she enjoyed art and music and loved to collect stuffed animals.
Holly Jean Whitehead is survived by: brother, William (Donna) Whitehead of Escanaba; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Larry Smith, and sister, Virginia Whitehead.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Holly Jean Whitehead will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Terry Saunders from St. Anne Catholic Church officiating. A luncheon will be served following the funeral services at the Morans home, located at 1417 1st. Ave. N., Escanaba. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery.
