Stephen A. Weber

ESCANABA - Stephen A. Weber, 63, passed away Friday afternoon, May 10, 2013, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility following a battle with lung cancer.

Steve was born Feb. 3, 1950, the son of William and Eleanor (Kopp) Weber. He graduated from Escanaba Senior High School in 1968 and attended Bay de Noc Community College. Steve was self-employed throughout most of his life. He enjoyed playing cribbage, gardening and fishing. In addition, Steve was an active member of Agape Ministries Church where he made numerous friends. Steve was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Eleanor Weber; Steve is survived by his brothers, David Weber of Perkins, Michael Weber of Cornell; sister, Adele (Richard) Koch of Green Bay, Wis.; nephews, Randall Weber of Wisconsin, Patrick Weber of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Joshua (Andrea) Koch of Green Bay, Wis.; and niece, Amanda Koch of Green Bay, Wis.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, William Weber; nephew, Charles Koch; nieces, Tracey Weber and Elizabeth Anne Koch.

Steve's family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at Agape Ministries Church, 1420 Sheridan Road, Escanaba, MI 49829. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Stephen A. Weber will follow visitation on Thursday at Agape Ministries Church with Pastor Art Kievit officiating. Luncheon will follow funeral services at Agape Ministries Church Fellowship Hall. Private committal services will take place at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.

Steve's family would like to extend a warmhearted thank you to all of his friends at Agape Ministries and Roger and Jane Sarnowski who gave him so much support during this difficult time. Steve's family would also like to thank Pastor Art Kievit, his Hospice nurse Joyce, St. Francis Hospital, Dr. Karol Hendrickson and all the staff at the Christian Park Health Care Facility.
