OKEMOS, Mich. - Lee Ann (Cvengros) Swasey, 48, of Okemos, Mich., passed away May 12, 2013. Lee was a 1983 graduate of Escanaba High School and received her bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University. After college she was employed in Massachusetts and South Carolina and then with Okemos Public Schools at Bennett Woods Elementary.
Lee was the centerpiece of our loving family. Her guidance, wisdom and love were felt by all of her friends, family and especially her daughters. She loved being a mom and was very proud of her daughters, sharing every precious moment in their daughter's lives. Lee was a spirited gal with a lot of life and energy making it contagious to all that knew her. She loved animals and spending quiet time with her cocker spaniel Erin. She enjoyed gardening and trips by train to Chicago and Toronto with her family for shopping, dining, fine arts and living it up for a few days.
Lee loved working and mentoring with young students. She persistently encouraged Kate and Abby to perform at their highest level in academics, music and athletics.
