GLADSTONE - Carney-Nadeau's Hunter Eichhorn continued his impressive season, coming away with medalist honors yet again during Wednesday's Big Bay de Noc Golf Invitational at Gladstone Golf Club.
On a beautiful, warm sunny day, Eichhorn, an eighth grader for the Wolves, dominated the competition on the pristine, well-kept greens at Gladstone Golf Club. He shot a five-over 77, 12 strokes ahead of Matt Mundling of Bark River-Harris, who shot 89. Mid Peninsula's Brett Branstrom placed third with 90.
The North Central boys won the meet with a composite score of 374 followed by Bark River-Harris at 379 and Carney-Nadeau with 397. The host Black Bears placed fourth in the six-school meet, with 408.

Freshman Hannah Starnes of Bark River-Harris was girls' medalist as she shot 46 over nine holes. Black Bears' Cassidy Cayemberg was runner-up, hitting 49 and Mid Peninsula's Marissa Westlund placed third at 52.
The Broncos won the meet, collectively shooting 222, followed by Mid Peninsula with 224 and Big Bay de Noc, 225.
