The "Citizen of the Year" is Brenda Crow. Crow works for Pathways in Delta County and assists both adults and children with developmental disabilities, helping to enrich their lives.
She has a very active role with Relay for Life, is diversity coordinator for the local RICC and coordinates the Mix and Mingle community events, including the annual prom at the Island Resort. For this event Crow arranges to provide dresses for the women and tuxedoes for the men, and also solicits food, beverages, prizes, floral arrangements and transportation for the prom goers. She has recently added Friends of DATA to her list of activities.
Crow was raised on a farm in Ohio and married her high school sweetheart, Todd Crow, who is a Public Safety officer for the City of Gladstone. They have two children, Jared, 10, and Megan, 9.
She enjoys spending time with her family, taking pictures of family outings and also helps out with her daughter's softball team.
