Elk Officer of the Year

"Elks Officer of the Year" is Donald "Art" Rogers, the Lodge chaplain and chair of the Youth Committee. Rogers organizes the Lodge's Youth Week each year and the Lodge has won both state and national awards for their work with the youth.

In addition, Rogers volunteers for several other functions and activities at the lodge including brunches and steak night, highway pick-up and VA bingo.

Rogers is a retired railroad worker and spends time volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul and is devoted to St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church.

He has one daughter, Alyssa, who studies nursing at Grand Valley. She has been a recipient of an Elks scholarship.

Rogers visits his mother at Bishop Noa Home every day.
