ESCANABA - Delta County cancer survivors, caretakers, volunteers and 2013 Relay For Life teams and participants are invited to the Delta County Relay For Life Kickoff on Monday at 6 p.m. at Bay College, in room 525 by the Cafe entrance. The public is welcome to attend and to take part in the Relay for Life in June.
The American Cancer Society and its programs for Delta County cancer patients includes lodging at Michigan's Hope Lodge, at the Marshfield Hope Lodge in Wisconsin, and near Rochester Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
The local ACS "Look Good, Feel Better" program takes place at OSF. ACS websites. Cancer information specialists are available to staff phone line for calls from cancer patients, families, survivors and caretakers. ACS cancer research helps save 400 lives a day.
Branden Tomac and Michele Mayville-Cole will be two of the participants in the upcoming 2013 Delta County Relay for Life. A kickoff meeting for the relay is scheduled for tonight at Bay de Noc Community College.
The Delta County Relay For Life event is scheduled for June 21-22 at Marble Field in Gladstone.
