ESCANABA - Youth In Art, now on display at the Bonifas Arts Center, celebrates the artistic talent and creativity of students in grades K through 12. The exhibit is sponsored annually by NewPage. It fills the Galleries through April 18.
Two receptions will honor the artists in the show. Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 7 p.m., features awards for students in grades K through 5; and students in grades 6 through 12 are in the spotlight on Thursday, March 21, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Awards are presented each year from the Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District, Escanaba Noon Kiwanis, the Escanaba Chapter of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, NewPage, and the Arts Center. Art in the exhibit is selected by area art teachers during the year and entered by individual students, as well.
