Police probe home invasion, armed robbery

MUNISING - Troopers and detectives from the Michigan State Police, Munising Detachment investigated a home invasion and armed robbery incident which occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at a residence on County Road 440 in Autrain Township of Alger County.

Alan Myron, 19, of Alger County, was assaulted and rendered incapacitated at the residence by multiple suspects. The suspects then robbed the victim of property from within the residence and fled the scene. Myron was transported to Munising Memorial Hospital by Alger County EMS where he was treated for injuries sustained in the assault.

Suspects in the incident remain at-large. State Police detectives are continuing to investigate this morning; however no specific suspect descriptions are available at this time.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab (Marquette), officers from the Alger County Sheriff's Department, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and the Alger County EMS.
