GLADSTONE - Terry R. "Doc" Flaminio, 72, of Gladstone, formerly of Quinnesec, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Madison, Wis.
He was born on April 29, 1940, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late Albert "Jumbo" and Jennie Doris (Ashley) Flaminio.
Terry served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. While in the service, he worked as a cook. Terry enjoyed cooking so much he went on to work at his sister Claire's restaurant, The Lamplighter, in Niagara, Wis. Terry enjoyed visiting with his friends and family and cooking for them. One of his favorite dishes to make was lasagna.
Terry married Rose Jackomino on July 19, 1975, in Iron Mountain. She preceded him in death on June 6, 1998.
He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest and William Flaminio; and one sister, Claire Barbeau.
Terry is survived by five daughters, Sherry (Charles) Rosenthal of Quinnesec, Wendy (William Sr.) Lake of Niagara, Margaret (Ed) Alsteens of Quinnesec, Rieta Ketchum of Alpena, and Amy (Tony) Degenaer of Norway; one brother, Pete (Patricia) Flaminio of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; 11 grandchildren, Laura Chartier, Christine Reynolds, Stephanie Alsteens, William Lake Jr., Jennifer Rosenthal, Steven Alsteens, Kaylyn Ketchum, Ethan Degenaer, Kassidy Degenear, Brooke Giancola, and Jared Giancola; six great-grandchildren, Lilly Chartier, Anthony Chartier, Mila Reynolds, Alexander Chartier, AnaSophia Chartier, and Ricky Reynolds; his companion, Carol of Gladstone; many nieces and nephews; four stepchildren; and many stepgrandchildren.
Visitation was held Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday at noon at the funeral home. Funeral services will be accorded by the Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
