Lemmer, Webster and the Escanaba Upper Elementary Schools started Reading Month and Screens Off week Friday with special assemblies at each school. Above, sixth-graders from the Upper Elementary lead their peers in a Take the Challenge song called “No Screens For Me” during their assembly in the school’s auditorium. Students from each school will attempt to turn off televisions and computers for a week, with limited screens for a second week. March also marks the start of reading month for each school.
