Thomas F. Jenerou

MANISTIQUE - Thomas F. Jenerou, 60, of 1380N Beckman Road, Manistique, Mich., passed away Feb. 27, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 6, 1952, in Manistique, the son of T. Calvin and Dorothy (Neddow) Jenerou. He attended Manistique area schools and was a graduate of Manistique High School.

On July 21, 1973, he married the former Cynthia A. Aldrich in Manistique. They made their home and raised their family in Manistique.

Tom was a member of the Boilermakers Local 169 and traveled throughout the U.P., for his work.

He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and served as the Hiawatha Township clerk. He coached minor league baseball for 27 years and enjoyed bowling, trapping, hunting, and fishing.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia A. Jenerou of Manistique; daughter, Becky Jenerou Gould of Manistique; son, Wayne (Theresa) Jenerou of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandy "Angel" (James) Gould, Jeremy "Partner" Gould and Brenden "Buckshot" Jenerou; one great-grandchild; his mother, Dorothy Jenerou of Manistique; sisters, Sylvia (William) Raredon and Jill (Gary) Maddox, both of Manistique; and his brothers, Aldred "Babe" (Dorothy) Jenerou and Richard (Jeananne) Jenerou, both of Manistique. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Don Aldrich; brother-in-laws, Don (Pam) Aldrich Jr, William (Diane) Aldrich and Richard (Beth) Aldrich; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, T. Calvin Jenerou, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Elaine Aldrich; and a nephew, Peter Aldrich.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hiawatha Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter.
