Thomas ‘Bubba’ L. Daley

GLADSTONE - Thomas "Bubba" L. Daley, 31, of 803 Michigan Ave., Gladstone, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital following a nine-month courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on Feb. 16, 1982 in Dallas, Texas, and was the son of Thomas and Rhonda (Smith) Daley.

The Daley Family moved to several locations across the country until finally settling in Gladstone when Thomas was in the fifth grade. He then attended Gladstone schools and was a member of the graduating Class of 2000. Following high school, Thomas continued his education at Northern Michigan University.

Thomas L. Daley married the former Meghan O'Donnell and together they started a video production business contracting with New Page. Most recently, Thomas was employed by the Escanaba DDA as the assistant director until he was unable to work due to his illness with leukemia.

His greatest loves in life were his children and family and the most precious times were those spent with them. Thomas was an avid sports fan and closely followed the Detroit Red Wings, University of Michigan teams, Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers. He was a big movie buff and enjoyed "Poker Night" at his home with his friends.

Thomas L. Daley is survived by: wife, Meghan, Gladstone; daughters, Morgan, Kelsey, Harper and Rowan;

stepson, David Kurzendoerfer; parents, Thomas and Rhonda Daley, Gladstone; father/mother-in-law, Randy and Jeanne O'Donnell, Lake Bluff; sister, Robyn Daley, Gladstone; sister-in-law, Erin O'Donnell, Gladstone; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Star, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone from 1 to 4 p.m. Following the visitation, there will be a gathering for family and friends at the Terrace Bay Inn. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial in Thomas' honor that will be directed to his family.
