Fatal accident victim identified by police

ST. IGNACE - Police have released the name of the Marquette man who died in a two-vehicle accident in Seney on Wednesday afternoon.

Eric Mason, 39, was traveling westbound on the Seney Stretch on M-28 when his 2012 Ford Fusion spun out of control on the slippery road and was struck by a westbound logging truck traveling behind him, stated Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace Post.

Mason was pronounced dead at the scene.

The logging truck was driven by Antuane Harrison, 25, of Ohio. He was not injured in the accident.

Assisting at the crash scene were troopers from Newberry, Sault Ste. Marie, and Manistique.
