ANTIGO, Wis. - The young Escanaba Eskymos gymnastics team competed to a ninth place finish at the Antigo Red Robbin's Invitational Saturday with a score of 94.05. Other U.P. finishers included Marquette and Negaunee which finished sixth and seventh respectively. Antigo won the invite with 127.4 points.
"Overcoming inexperience continues to be a challenge for Escanaba gymnastics," said Esky coach Theresa Pascoe. "The girls' attitudes and work eithic have remained positive in practice and the gymnasts are working hard to improve their skills."
Erin Mattson was Escanaba's top all around gymnast with 25.85 points.
