MENOMINEE - A Gladstone man, charged with drunk driving causing serious impairment following a motorcycle accident in 2011, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Menominee County District Court in March.

Steven Dennis Parrett, 43, of Gladstone, was arrested after he crashed his motorcycle in Menominee Township at 12:27 a.m. on July 25, 2011, according to Michigan State Police who investigated the accident.

Parrett's sister, Tracie Lee Peterson, 46, of Menominee, was a passenger on the motorcycle. She was critically injured in the accident and was air-lifted to a Green Bay hospital.

Parrett spent one day in jail. He was officially charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, causing serious impairment of a body function, which is a five-year felony.

His preliminary examination is scheduled for March 6 in district court.
