Rodney Patrick Chenier

ESCANABA - Rodney Patrick Chenier, 52, 1430 N. 23rd St., Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1960, in Escanaba, son of Gerald and Blanche (Charlebois) Chenier. Rodney was raised in Flat Rock and resided there the majority of his life.

Rodney was employed with Classic Auto Collision as a paint technician.

He enjoyed camping and being with his family and life in general. Rodney was a Eagle Scout.

He was baptized Catholic.

Among survivors include his children, Lori (Bruce McIntyre) Chenier, Roy Chenier and Erin Chenier, all of Escanaba; grandson, Jordan McIntyre of Escanaba; fiance, Pam Oliver of Escanaba; sisters, Beverly (Bob) Miller, Gloria (Dale) Julien and Judy Chenier, all of Gladstone; brothers, Duaine (Virginia) of Rapid River, Dennis (Brenda) of Dayton, Ohio, and David (Joanne) of Flat Rock; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family with receive friends and relatives Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. The memorial service celebrating the life of Rodney P. Chenier will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Al Schubert officiating. A luncheon will follow in the dining area. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Chenier family.
